The Pineapple Difference

Hospitality is what makes the difference for our patients at Dalton Dermatology.  Because of our focus on hospitality, we have chosen to include a pineapple in our logo.  The pineapple is known throughout the world to represent hospitality to others.

This tradition began in 19th century New England.  Sea-faring captains would place a pineapple atop the gate of their home when returning from a trip to the Caribbean Islands.  They would return bearing cargo of fruits and spices.  The pineapple served as an invitation to welcome others to visit the captain's home and share in his experience.  Because of that practice, the pineapple became a symbol of receiving and treating guests in a warm, friendly, and generous way.  In the same way, we want our patients to know that when they walk into our office they can expect to be welcomed and cared for "Where Healthcare meets Hospitality."
